Kids Day at TBA Credit Union

On April 12, TBA Credit Union hosted its 2nd Annual Kids Day with special guests Sunburn and Suntan of the Beach Bums! Kids enjoyed games, prizes, face painting and a ballpark lunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. To help build child safety awareness, Michigan State Trooper Brett Nichols was on site providing families with child safety information and emergency fingerprinting and identification. Over 500 people attended the event.

Celebrating 25 years with

Joann Anderson

Joann celebrated her 25th anniversary with TBA Credit Union on October 1, 2007. Starting her career with TBA as a part-time teller, she was soon promoted to a full-time head teller position. She has been a Member Service Supervisor for the past 20 years, overseeing the member service department. When asked about her time with the credit union, Joann responded, "I came to work at TBA feeling like I joined a very special family. I still feel that way."

2007 Employee of the Year

During a recent staff development and appreciation event, Robin Ahart was announced as TBA Credit Union's 2007 Employee of the Year. Robin's ten-year career with the credit union has included positions in member service, lending, and accounting. Currently she holds the title of Marketing Coordinator.

Staff Development Day

On Monday, February 18 the credit union closed for Staff Development and Appreciation Day. Employees enjoyed a busy day that included guest speaker Yodit Mesfin-Johnson, Empowerment Specialist, who spoke on the value of member service and Darrell Rogers, Professional Business Advisor, who facilitated an action packed afternoon of team building. Several employees were awarded for excellence in service and Karen Browne was recognized by the staff for her recent promotion to CEO of the credit union.

Karen Browne Named New CEO

TBA Credit Union is excited to announce the naming of a new President/CEO, Karen Browne. Karen has been the Interim CEO since August 29, 2007, and has been Vice President of Finance and Administration since October 2002. Karen's employment with TBA Credit Union began in 1991 with six prior years of financial experience. During her 22-year business career, Karen has worked in all areas of the credit union including member service, accounting, lending, and management.
