Our Story
A history built on people, purpose, and community.
TBA Credit Union started in 1955 with $50, a cigar box, and a simple belief in people helping people. A small group of Traverse City educators created a cooperative to support one another financially — and that spirit of trust still defines us today.
What began as a handful of members has grown into a thriving credit union serving 20,000+ members across Michigan. We remain committed to financial education, community support, and staying true to our cooperative roots.
