The Grand Traverse Bay Area MEA‑Retired, in partnership with TBA Credit Union, offers two to three scholarships of $1,000 each to support local graduating seniors pursuing further education.
Who Can Apply
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Graduating public high school senior planning to enroll in a Michigan‑based public:
- Technological or trade school
- College or university
- Community college
- Child or grandchild of a Michigan Education Association (MEA or MEA‑Retired) member
- Resident of one of these counties:
- Antrim
- Benzie
- Grand Traverse
- Kalkaska
- Leelanau
Selection Criteria
Recipients are chosen based on:
- Academic achievement
- School involvement
- Community service
- Quality of essay responses
