What is a Student-Run Credit Union?
A student‑run credit union (SRCU) is a real, fully functioning credit union branch located inside a school — and operated by trained 4th or 5th grade student volunteers. It gives students the chance to learn money skills, build confidence, and serve their peers in a meaningful way. It’s hands‑on learning with real‑world impact, and it’s one of the many reasons you can bank on the plus side with us.

Our Student‑Run Credit Union program brings financial education to life. Student volunteers help open accounts, process deposits, and support their classmates — all under the guidance of credit union professionals. It’s a safe, supportive environment where students gain leadership experience, customer‑service skills, and a deeper understanding of how money works.

Powered by Student Volunteers
Our student volunteers are the heart of the program. They receive training from credit union staff and take on real responsibilities, such as:

- Learning behind‑the‑scenes operations
