Yes. Coin machines are available at both our Front Street and South Airport branches. This service is complimentary for members. Non-members will incur a 10% fee.

Account & Membership

Becoming a member of TBA Credit Union is easy! If you live, work, worship, attend school, or own a business in the state of Michigan, you’re eligible to join. Simply open a Membership Savings Account with a minimum $5 deposit to join.

You can become a member online, visit any of our branch locations, or contact our team for assistance. Once you’re a member, you’ll have access to a full range of financial products and services designed to help you reach your goals.

To open an account, you will need:

  • Social Security Number
  • Driver’s License

The required minimum deposit to become a member is $5.00.

You can update your personal information by contacting our Service Center by email or phone at 231.946.7090, visiting a branch, or accessing Info Center, then Personal Settings, within It’sMe247 Online Banking.

The National Credit Union Administration’s Share Insurance Estimator helps consumers, credit unions, and members understand how share insurance rules apply to member share accounts, including what is insured and what portion, if any, exceeds coverage limits.

Your 1099 tax document can be found at the bottom of your December E-Statement.

Online Banking & Mobile App

Access & Security

You can access Online Banking by visiting tbacu.com and clicking the ‘Login‘ button in the top right corner of the page. Enter your username and password to securely log in and manage your accounts anytime, anywhere. If you have not yet enrolled in Online Banking, select ‘First-Time User’ from the login page to get started.

When logging into Online Banking, select “I forgot my password” below Password.

You can also change your password once logged into Online Banking by visiting Info Center, My Preferences, and Password.

You may also call the Service Center at 231.946.7090 to have your password reset.

To reset your username in the TBACU Mobile App:

  • Log into your account using MFA authentication
  • Tap your Profile Image in the upper right corner
  • Tap Change Username
  • Type in your new username
  • Tap Change Username

To reset your username in Online Banking:

  • Visit tbacu.com
  • Tap Online Banking Logins in the upper right corner
  • Log into your account using MFA authentication
  • Select your Profile Image in the upper right corner
  • Tap Personal Info & Settings
  • Tap Change Username
  • Type your new username
  • Tap Change Username

To reset your password in the Mobile App:

  • Log into your account using MFA authentication
  • Tap your Profile Image in the upper right corner
  • Tap Change Password
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password
  • Retype your new password
  • Tap Change Password

To reset your password in Online Banking:

  • Visit tbacu.com
  • Tap Online Banking Logins in the upper right corner
  • Tap Forgot Password
  • Authenticate using MFA authentication and answer your security questions
  • Type your new password
  • Retype your new password
  • Tap Set Password

If it has been over 90 days since your last online banking login, or if you have forgotten your username, please contact our Local Service Center at 231.946.7090.

Multifactor Authentication, or MFA, is an additional layer of security used when logging into online banking or the mobile app.

When logging in, you will be sent an 8-digit code by email or text message. If you choose “Register this phone” in the mobile app or “Register this browser” in online banking, you will only be asked to use MFA every 90 days.

Click your profile picture. A drop-down box will appear with the memberships you are linked to, allowing you to switch between them.

  • At the top of the page, select “Member Services”

Managing Accounts

Access to personal information and settings is available by clicking your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

You will have access to:

Your Debit or Credit Card can be temporarily locked or unlocked if you have misplaced it. You can do this through online banking or the mobile app by selecting the Card Control widget.

You can order checks in two ways:

  • Hover over “Pay & Transfer” and use the Check Services section.
  • Select the three dots next to the checking account to open the drop-down menu.

You can choose the checking account you want to use and will be redirected to Harland Clarke’s website to complete your order.

  • Select the checking account the check was drawn from.
  • Select “Account Details” from the drop-down menu.
  • Click “Advanced” next to the Search Transactions box.
  • Use the Transaction Type drop-down and select “Cleared Checks.”
  • Search by dollar amount, check number, or keyword.

You may need to select “Load More Transactions,” as the Advanced Search defaults to the previous 29 transactions.

If your direct deposit or payroll is pending, you can post it early within online banking or the mobile app.

Go to your savings or checking account, select ACH Transactions, then select the deposit to post.

Mobile App & Remote Deposit (RDC)

Apple Users

To make sure apps are set to automatically update, go to Settings, then iTunes and App Store. Scroll to Automatic Downloads and turn on Updates.

Android Users

On your Android smartphone or tablet, open the Google Play Store. Tap the menu button, then select “My Apps” to see which apps have available updates.

Depending on your mobile device settings, you may need to visit the app store to update the app.

  1. Visit the app store on your mobile device.
  2. Search TBA Credit Union.
  3. Download and open the app.
  4. Use the app frequently and always allow for app updates.

Download links are available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  1. Open the TBA Credit Union app on your mobile device.
  2. Select the Deposit icon from the menu toolbar.
  3. Click the New Deposit icon.
  4. Complete the User Request Form when prompted to register for Remote Deposit Capture.
  5. After registration is submitted, your account will be reviewed within one business day.
  6. If approved, you will be notified by email.
  1. Open the TBA Credit Union app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the Deposit icon on the menu toolbar.
  3. Tap New Deposit.
  4. Select the account you wish to deposit the funds into.
  5. Enter the check amount.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Take a photo of the front of the check. Be sure the check is centered in frame and can be read.
  8. Once a clear picture is taken, tap Accept.
  9. Take a photo of the back of the check. Include the words “TBACU Mobile Deposit” beneath your endorsement.
  10. Ensure the check is centered in the frame. Once a clear picture is taken, tap Accept.
  11. Confirm the account and check amount are correct, then tap Submit.

Remote Deposit endorsement requirements:

To help ensure your remote deposit is accepted, include the words “TBACU Mobile Deposit” beneath your endorsement on the back of the check.

If you are having trouble with RDC images, try uninstalling and reinstalling the TBACU Mobile App.

To clear your cache:

  • Go to Settings
  • Open Storage
  • Tap cache data
  • Select OK to clear cache for all apps

Cards

Managing Your Card

You can temporarily freeze your debit or credit card through the Card Control feature within online banking or the mobile app.

Instant Issue Debit Cards can be printed inside our branch lobbies.

You can also call our local Service Center at 231.946.7090 to order a new Debit or Credit Card. Standard delivery typically takes 7–10 business days.

You can change your PIN by calling 833.541.0780. You will be prompted to change your PIN, and the change will be effective immediately.

You can also change your PIN at either branch during business hours, Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

You can also change your PIN by entering your previous PIN at any TBACU ATM.

Most ATMs have a $500 daily limit. However, your card may have specific limits. Please live chat with one of our agents or call our local Service Center at 231.946.7090 to verify this information.

Using Your Card

  • VISA charges a 1% foreign transaction fee on all international transactions, including ATM withdrawals.
  • TBACU charges a $1 fee for ATM withdrawals from non-CO-OP Network ATMs.
  • Foreign ATMs should disclose any additional fee before completing the transaction.
  • Notify TBACU of the dates and destinations of your trip to help prevent your card from being declined.
  • It is always best practice to have more than one form of payment when traveling.
  • TBACU does not allow card transactions in some countries. Please contact our Service Center at 231.946.7090 for more information.

If you are experiencing issues using your Debit or Credit Card, please contact the 24/7 card assistance number on the back of your card. You can also contact TBACU during business hours via Live Chat or by phone at 231.946.7090.

If you receive an error message while trying to load your debit card into your digital wallet, please contact our Service Center by calling or texting 231.946.7090. We may need to reissue a new debit card.

Please log into the ScoreCard Rewards website to view your rewards.

Payments & Transfers

Real Time Payment, or RTP, is an instant transfer of funds that is processed immediately.

RTP initiation requires your full account base and suffix. If the full account base and suffix are not used, the transaction will fail.

A Pay Anyone transaction can take up to 2–3 business days after the recipient accepts the transaction.

Please note that the funds are not held during this time. To avoid an overdraft fee, make sure the funds remain in the account you are withdrawing from.

  • Select the three dots next to Pay
  • Select Payee Settings
  • At the bottom of the page, you will be able to edit or delete payees

A refund can take up to 10 business days. If you still have not received the refund from the merchant, contact the merchant directly.

To send a wire transfer, you will need:

  • Name on account
  • Account number
  • Physical address
  • City and country
  • Reference for recipient
  • Routing number
  • Name and address of the financial institution

Please call our Local Service Center at 231.946.7090 for help receiving a wire transfer.

If your direct deposit or payroll is pending, you can post it early within online banking or the mobile app.

To verify whether a cashier’s check is legitimate, contact the financial institution the check is drawn from.

Yes. TBACU offers a quick $1,000 Holiday Loan to members starting November 1. To qualify, you must have six months of direct deposit history with TBACU of at least $1,000 per month.

Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs)

Yes. Interactive Teller Machines can be used just like an ATM at any time for everyday transactions such as withdrawals, deposits, balance inquiries, and transfers. In addition, ITMs offer expanded services and the option to connect with a live TBA Credit Union representative during regular business hours.

No. Members will need to visit Member Service Representatives in the lobby during business hours for cashier’s checks, money orders, or coins. You can also use our free and convenient bill payment service, available 24/7 with any TBACU checking account.

Video Appointments

Use a reliable speed test tool, such as fast.com, to check your internet connection.

For a stable video chat experience, you should have a minimum upload speed of at least 5 Mbps and download speed of at least 20 Mbps.
