Enjoy banking on the go with the TBA Credit Union Mobile App which features Remote Deposit Capture1, Card Control, and five different login options including face recognition, thumbprint, voice, PIN, or standard username and password.  The free app is available for iOS and Android mobile device users. Whether you need to deposit a check or temporarily turn off your debit or credit card with Card Control, our easy-to-use TBACU Mobile App can help.

To view e-statements, first, log in to the mobile app. Next, tap the ‘More’ menu in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Then tap the e-statements tab. Finally, you can select which account e-statement you would like to view.

Card Notifications Alerts allow you to set up and turn on push notifications within Manage My Cards. You will be able to select notifications regarding transactions over a certain balance limit, and other types of transactions, such as foreign or card not present purchases.

Card Control

All TBACU Debit and Credit Cards are automatically loaded into Card Control for our members’ convenience.

  1. Open the TBA Credit Union app on your mobile device.
  2. From the home screen select Card Control.
  3. Temporarily lock your card, report a lost or stolen card, or even review recent transactions.

Sign-up for RDC

  1. Open the TBA Credit Union app on your mobile device.
  2. Select the Deposit icon from the menu toolbar.
  3. Click on the New Deposit icon.
  4. You will be prompted to register for Remote Deposit Capture. Enter all required information for the User Request Form.
  5. After your registration is submitted, your account will be reviewed within one business day and should your request be approved, you will be notified via email.
  6. Enjoy the convenience of this great service!

Deposit a Check with Remote Deposit Capture

  1. Open the TBA Credit Union app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the Deposit icon on the menu toolbar.
  3. Tap New Deposit.
  4. Select the account you wish to deposit the funds.
  5. Enter Check Amount.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Take a photo of the front of the check. Be sure the check is centered in frame and can be read.
  8. Once a clear picture is taken tap Accept.
  9. Take a photo of the back of the check. To ensure a remote deposit is accepted, please include the words “TBACU Mobile Deposit” beneath your endorsement.2
  10. Ensure the check is centered in the frame. Once a clear picture is taken tap Accept.
  11. Check the account and check amount is correct. If correct, tap Submit.

Mobile App FAQ

What is biometric authentication?

  • Biometric authentication is a secure and quick way to login to your mobile app. You can choose to login using facial recognition, fingerprint, pin, username and password, or voice recognition.

Will I be able to access all of my TBA Credit Union membership accounts with one biometric authentication?

  • You will be able to access all memberships with one biometric authentication, if you have the Switch Membership feature set up between memberships.
  • If you have not set up the Switch Membership feature, we recommend setting up your preferred authentication method: thumbprint, PIN, voice, or face recognition, with whichever membership you access most frequently on your mobile device. You will have to use your full online banking credentials for any additional memberships.

How do I set up the Switch Membership feature between membership accounts?

  • Contact our Service Center at 231.946.7090 or info@tbacu.com to set up the Switch Membership feature.

Can I use the biometric authentication options if I do not use a passcode to unlock my iPhone?

  • No. You will need to set up a passcode on your iPhone.
    • Set up your passcode on your iPhone by accessing Settings> Touch ID & Passcode/Face ID & Passcode>Turn Passcode On.

I am enrolled in biometric authentication; how can I skip the step of selecting “Authenticate with” button?

  • Activate Quick Authentication:
    • Once logged into your account, Tap on your photo in the upper right corner.
    • Scroll down and select Authentication Options.
    • Select the button next to Quick Authentication to enable.

Will I have to log in the same way every time or can I switch between the different logins?

  • You are not required to log in the same way every time. You can use a different biometric authentication option, or you can use the standard login of username, password, and security question answer. The mobile app will default to the last biometric authentication options used the next time you log in.

I have multiple TBA Credit Union accounts. Can I use Remote Deposit Capture for all of them?

  • If you have separate logins for your accounts, you can use Remote Deposit Capture for each. However, if your accounts are linked together, whichever account login you are currently using will be the account where RDC is applied.

I do not see all my accounts listed when using Remote Deposit Capture.

  • The accounts may have been added or opened after enrolling in Remote Deposit Capture. Please call or text our Service Center team at 231.946.7090 or email them at info@tbacu.com.

Do I need to provide additional information on my check when using Remote Deposit Capture?

  • Yes, to aid in processing, please make sure to include the words “TBACU Mobile Deposit” or check the Mobile Deposit box beneath your endorsement on the back of the check. Below is a list of tips that will help ensure your remote deposit is accepted.
    • Make sure the image of your check is clear and the endorsement is not on a diagonal.
    • The endorsement should be legible and in dark ink.
    • The endorsement includes your signature with “TBACU Mobile Deposit” written below it on one line.

Do I need to keep my check after depositing it using Remote Deposit Capture?

  • Yes, hold on to your check until you can confirm the funds have been deposited into your account. Once confirmed, you can safely destroy the check.

How long does it take for a check to post using Remote Deposit Capture?

How do I deposit using Remote Deposit Capture?

  • Once logged into the mobile app, Select Deposit.
  • Select New Deposit
  • Select which account your wish to deposit your check.
  • Enter Check Amount
  • Tap Continue
  • With the front of the check facing up, position the edges of the check are within the frame.
  • Tap the Camera icon, then Accept
  • Before completing the process on the back of the check, include the words TBACU Mobile deposit and check the Mobile deposit box under your endorsement.
  • Confirm the deposit amount an account are correct, and tap Submit

Why is my check image getting rejected?

  • For security reasons, there are certain aspects of each check that must be clearly identifiable with each photo image. If any of these aspects are not clearly identifiable, your check may come back rejected. Here are a few tips for the best photo quality:
    • Lay the check on a flat, well-lit surface. If the check is crumpled or folded, do your best to flatten it out.
    • If you have a check with a light background, be sure to take the picture on a solid, darker surface to show a contrast between check and background.
    • Make sure all four corners of your check are entirely within the frame that is provided on the screen.
    • Hold steady. Be sure that the check is not blurry.
    • Avoid shadows.
    • Make sure the image of your check is clear and the endorsement is not on a diagonal.
    • The endorsement should be legible and in dark ink and include your signature with the words “TBACU Mobile Deposit” or check the Mobile Deposit box beneath.

Why am I am receiving a “Service Unavailable” pop up when depositing using Remote Deposit Capture?

  • We have been made aware of an issue with those trying to utilize RDC from a Google Pixel 6 phone. Our team is actively working on a fix to this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update members as soon as this issue is resolved.
